Laser Hair Reduction
The Diode 810 nm laser targets melanin in the hair follicle to heat and disable the follicle while preserving the surrounding skin. This wavelength is considered a “gold standard” for hair reduction because it penetrates to the level of the hair bulb and balances safety with efficacy across a broad range of skin types.
Helps with: Unwanted hair on the face, underarms, bikini, legs, back, chest, and more.
Benefits: Long-term reduction in hair density and thickness, faster treatment times, and treatments that are typically well-tolerated and low-downtime.
Hair grows in cycles making it necessary to receive a series of treatments. This varies from client to client, usually 6 treatments spaced about 4–8 weeks apart to catch hairs in the active growth phase.

Pre-care
-
Avoid waxing, tweezing, threading, electrolysis, and depilatory creams for at least 2–4 weeks before; shaving is allowed and encouraged.
-
Shave the treatment area the day before or the morning of your appointment; arrive with clean, product-free skin. Remove all make-up, deodorant, and lotion prior to arrival.
-
Avoid tanning, spray tans, and sunburns on the treatment area for 2-4 weeks prior. Tanned skin has extra melanin or pigment which attracts laser energy from targeting the hair follicle.
-
Do not use strong retinoids or acids on facial treatment areas for several days beforehand.
What To Expect
-
A thin layer gel is applied to the skin to allow for a smooth glide of the handpiece gentle warming sensation of the skin will be apparent and very tolerable. You will feel brief warmth or mild “snaps” with each pulse; cooling helps keep the skin comfortable.
-
Hair in the follicles may appear to “sprout” or shed over 1–3 weeks as the damaged hairs work their way out.
-
Some redness and small “goosebump” swelling around follicles is common and usually fades within hours to a day.
-
Hair growth becomes finer and sparser over a series of 6 sessions, with maintenance as needed.
-
Each area that is being treated for hair-reduction will take approximately 10-15 minutes.
-
After optimal treatment sessions of laser hair removal, you can enjoy long lasting hair reduction. Hair removal is not 100% permanent and hormones play a role in hair growth cycles which may decrease depending on age.
Post-care
-
Avoid hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, and very hot showers for 24–48 hours.
-
Skip heavy workouts and excessive sweating until redness or irritation have resolved. Light workouts are acceptable.
-
Use gentle cleansers and soothing products like aloe; avoid scrubs, peels, or harsh actives on the area for several days.
-
Protect treated skin from sun with SPF 30+; avoid tanning to reduce the chance of pigment changes.
